2012 Top Places to Work in PR: WellPoint

WellPoint

For the fourth year in a row WellPoint was named to the list of 100 best places to work in information technology. But one of its most notable qualities as an employer is how its staffers help tell the story of their own worker benefits.

WellPoint uses video to communicate the breadth of its employee benefits. For instance, they shot a short video of an associate who was a diabetic who was helped with the company’s wellness program.

An employee engagement survey indicates that this internal communications is quite effective. In 2011, Wellpoint employees rated benefits 65% favorably, and in 2012 that number rose to 75%.
