Emily Buchanan is senior principal and chair of brand marketing and social engagement at Carmichael Lynch Spong. In this role, Emily brings holistic, transformational ideas to agency clients, such as Merrick Pet Care, H&R Block, Jack Link's and Lutron. She brings more than 18 years of varied experience in social media, marketing and integrated communications.
Prior to joining the team, Emily served as senior vice president and deputy practice director for MSLGROUP's consumer marketing practice in New York City, overseeing communications, experiential and engagement efforts for several of the firm's top clients.
During her four years at MSL New York, Emily oversaw top brands in the food, beverage and retail sectors, such as Kellogg's Pop-Tarts, Special K, Heinz, Hennessy, Amazon, Outback Steakhouse, Bonefish Grill, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Ferrero Rocher, Nutella, Tic Tac, Birra Moretti, Heineken and Evian.
In addition, she has worked with dozens of other national and global food, restaurant/retail and CPG brands such as McDonald's, Procter & Gamble, Gardenburger, Fruit20, McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurants, FreshDirect, Time Warner Center and Avis Rent-A-Car.
Throughout her career, Emily has won many of the top marketing communications awards for client and agency programs, including recognition for Carmichael Lynch Spong's proprietary Social Tracker product, the 2013 PRSA Bronze Anvil for "Social Campaign of the Year" and the 2009 PRSA Silver Anvil for "Multicultural Marketing." She was also named by PR News as "Brand Marketer of the Year."
