Contact: Senior Health Editor Ziba Kasheef (pronounced Zeeba Cash-F). Story ideas should be submitted in writing and a short call afterward is appropriate. Ziba is very busy, getting almost 50 phone calls a day regarding story ideas. Her big pet peeve is people that call and pitch a long-winded story. Ziba generally likes to cover reader-specific issues, such as high blood pressure, asthma and illnesses more common in the black community.

Women's issues like PMS, menopause and fitness issues are also appropriate. Ziba has an interest in information on alternative approaches to health and studies that relate to heath in the black community.
