E-Philanthropy Catches On With Nonprofits

An average of 10 charities per day are signing up to join an online philanthropy site that taps into Internet advertising to charitable organizations. OnGiving.com recently
surpassed the 500 mark in registering nonprofits.

OnGiving.com's mission is to democratize charitable giving via Internet revenue streams. Its Surf-to-Give program channels a portion of advertising dollars to nonprofits. The
site also uses any unsold advertising space to display public service announcements for charitable causes. The charities that have joined the site represent a cross section of
interests, from national associations to local schools and state organizations.
