Don Varela is responsible for Navy Federal Credit Union’s corporate social media communications and marketing strategy. He develops, implements and evaluates corporate-wide social media marketing campaigns and works closely with Navy Federal’s advertising agency and our business partners like Facebook. Don is currently leading a significant redesign of Navy Federal’s YouTube presence and video assets.
Don spearheaded campaigns in 2012 that acquired record-breaking acquisition in products and membership, and a 1,400% increase in fan growth in Facebook. He serves as the lead community manager of all social media channels for Navy Federal.
