PR News Announces the 2017 Digital Awards Winners at the Digital Awards Luncheon in New York City

New York, NY, November 9, 2017—PR News announced the winners of the 2017 Digital Awards on November 8 in New York City. Communicators filled the Grand Ballroom at the Yale Club to celebrate the year's top digital leaders and their work.

The ceremony kicked off with a keynote presentation from Jason Dailey, U.S. agency partner development lead at Facebook, about the latest insights into how people are consuming and retaining content on mobile devices, and how these trends should influence the creation of brand content. Dailey's presentation was followed by the awards ceremony where PR News revealed the Digital Firm of the Year, Digital Marketing Campaigns of the Year, Digital Communicators of the Year and over a dozen other awards.

The winners of the Digital Awards represent the bold and innovative communicators setting new standards for digital communications. Southwest Airlines, winner in the crisis management category, demonstrated how the best time to go live can be in the midst of chaos, as they did in 2016 when a router failure triggered massive downtime on Southwest.com. Cisco's Carmen Collins, who couldn't be at the event to accept her award, sent in a video acceptance that told the audience that in order to stand out, innovate and engage audiences, one has to take risks and make mistakes. All the winners share tidbits of advice as they came on stage to accept their award.
