Correction

The recent article "Debunking Journalistic Myths" (PR News, May 18, 2005) reported on the '2004 Newswire Awareness Survey' conducted by Brodeur Worldwide. The article
stated that some 10,000 journalists were surveyed when, in fact, only slightly more than 150 journalists actually responded.

The omission of the correct number of respondents skewed the results. The article also failed to identify that MarketWire commissioned this survey and claimed an erroneous
margin of error of ~1%, a figure impossible to achieve using generally accepted methods for a sample size that small. We apologize for the error.
