Ylan Q. Mui Ylan joined The Washington Post in 2002 as a local education reporter before moving to the business staff five years ago. She is also an adjunct journalism instructor at the University of Maryland and volunteers with several youth and education organizations. She is a member of the Society of American Business Editors and Writers and the Asian American Journalists Association, where she is a past vice president of the Washington, D.C., chapter. Ylan began her journalism career as an obit writer, editorial aide and copy editor at The Times-Picayune in New Orleans, where she was born and raised. |
