During the 15 years she has been at Porter Novelli, clients ranging from the American Red Cross to the Internal Revenue Service have benefited from Carrie Schum's leadership, strategic insights and creativity. Driven by the belief that there is too much bad communication in the world, Carrie sees her mission as helping clients tell their story clearly and comprehensively to those who need it most. Carrie's work has ranged from commercial to nonprofit and government work, and brands that range from Welch's to the IRS to the Nature Conservancy. She also plays an integral role in Porter Novelli's proprietary Styles research surveys: ConsumerStyles, HealthStyles, YouthStyles and DocStyles.
Carrie has taught graduate level classes in communications planning and market research at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia as well as the George Washington University School of Public Health.
