Cancer TV Program Communicates Hope

HBO is promoting a refreshing image of cancer that should benefit cancer treatment centers. Next month, the cable channel will air "Cancer: Evolution to Revolution," which will
help viewers look at the disease in a new way, as often preventable and treatable.

The program offers information on the latest treatments available, from standard therapies to clinical trials. The film focuses on colorectal, prostate, lung and breast cancer
and touches on a variety of other cancers like skin cancer, childhood leukemia and ovarian cancer. It follows the experiences of four cancer patients, their families and
physicians as they navigate the choices for treatment options.

The program is supported by a HBO's Web site, http://www.hbo.com, which features additional cancer information and links to other expert sites.
Organizations that were featured in the program were also able to promote their follow-up information (800 phone numbers and Web sites), including the National Cancer Institute,
The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Oncology Center and the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.
