What's old is new again in Russia, with TV reportedly under effective state control and newspapers editors under pressure to give favorable coverage to President Vladmir Putin.
But the folks at Forbes Inc. are not exactly risk-averse. So, they've launched a Russian edition of Forbes, via German publishing giant Axel Springer. The monthly, with an initial
circulation of 40,000, targets Russia's burgeoning business class. A bevy of U.S. publications have Russian editions, ranging from Cosmopolitan to the Robb Report...Meanwhile,
Forbes has also launched an Israeli edition of its flagship title.
