Beth Monaghan is principal and co-founder of PR and social content firm InkHouse. Headquartered in Waltham, Mass., with almost 50 professionals on staff, InkHouse is an award-winning agency that has been recognized by both Inc. Magazine and the Boston Business Journal as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. ln 2012, both Bulldog Reporter and PR News named InkHouse a Small Agency of the Year and, in 2013, InkHouse was named a Best Place to Work by the Boston Business Journal.

For more than 15 years, Beth has counted herself a privileged participant in PR’s frenetic and exciting transformation—from a disciplined bullhorn of messages blasted at target audiences, to engagement in real conversations whose value can now be measured. She cut her teeth in PR at Schwartz Communications working with the start-up stars of the Internet bubble. Four years later at Charles River Ventures, she helped create media luminaries out of VC rainmakers. Prior to co-founding InkHouse, Beth was vice president of public relations at The Castle Group.

Beth writes about strategies for effective campaigns—from data journalism, to buzz words overused into jargon, to the controversial embargo, and how to answer tough media questions. Her work is regularly published in Business Insider, Bulldog Reporter, PR News and Ragan’s PRDaily.
