Be There and Be Square

Talk about developing an event intended for a specific niche. Geek Pride, a festival sponsored by Andover.net and Switchouse, is calling for all pocket-protecting, eyeglass-
wearing nerds to gather in Boston for April Fool's Day and celebrate their technology-rich lifestyles. The event will host activities such as matching wits against the brainy in
"stump the geek" or listening to especially geeky people talk about geekdom and their contributions to the technological community in "soapbox." Festival founder Tim McEachern
hopes the event will catch-on and spread to other technology cities in the U.S. (Janet Holian, 978/635-5300.)
