Ellen Cooper is vice president, corporate and affiliate communications for iN DEMAND, overseeing strategic communications for the company’s products and services to the press. Prior to iN DEMAND, Ellen was a publicity and corporate communications leader in cable for several decades, working on both the consumer and B2B sides of PR. She was instrumental in catapulting emerging cable TV networks, shows and stars into the national spotlight. She helped to launch networks, ran program publicity for hundreds of series and specials, and built awareness for many stars who became household names. She promoted new technologies including Pay-Per-View, satellite distribution, HD, interactive TV, streaming media, VOD and Movies On Demand, resulting in reams of coverage, brand awareness, awards and new subscribers.

Ellen helps to drive growth of product categories and secure iN DEMAND’s leadership through trade ads, active participation in industry trade groups, messaging support and partnership. Ellen has helped to lead the company’s B2B site committee to redesign, rewrite and relaunch its site through research, writing and editing. Ellen steps in to smooth press controversies—most notably during the highly controversial Sony issue with The Interview—works with owner PR teams and handles numerous high-profile press queries. For new business initiatives, Ellen helped to edit all copy for handouts, social media and other positioning and developed contacts at new trade organizations.
