ELIGIBILITY:

For “Spokesperson of the Year”: Scenarios eligible for this award include year-long spokesperson achievements; a series of interviews or media appearances; or a single appearance/quote related to one event. 

The “Crisis Spokesperson of the Year”: This category will be judged on his or her ability to effectively communicate to the media during the course of a crisis.

All non-profit organizations and/or their PR firms in the US and abroad are eligible to apply for the non-profit award categories.  Not-for-Profit includes associations, nonprofits, NGOs, government organizations and nonprofit healthcare and educational institutions.

Note that each Main Category has a subset: Print/Web and TV/Radio. Entries in multiple subsets are accepted.

All publicly and privately-held companies and their PR firms in the US and abroad are eligible to apply for the for-profit company award categories. The award nominee can be the PR executive, Public Affairs executive, the CEO or President, the PR Agency Executive representing the client, or anyone conveying the message to the media.

To be eligible, the spokesperson must have been quoted while speaking on behalf of the company or organization between November 1st, 2004 and September 30th, 2005.  The spokesperson may be any individual within or without the company or organization who has spoken to the media as a representative of the company or organization.

The award nominee can be the PR executive, Public Affairs executive, the CEO or President, the PR Agency Executive representing the client, or anyone conveying the message to the media.
