Winner: Marist College—Marist Photo of the Week
According to multiple surveys, an average of two-out-of-three prospective students said that social media conversations with current students influenced their decisions on where to enroll. With this information in mind, Marist College set out to improve and foster online communication and interaction amongst prospective students and current Marist students.
To attract more prospective students to Marist and build their social media presence, they created a Photo of the Week campaign on Facebook. Each week, one student-generated photo is chosen to be promoted on all of their social media platforms as well as on the homepage of the Marist website. Using the hastag #MyMarist, students submit their photos through various social platforms. To broaden the scope of the campaign, Marist activated their student ambassadors to take pictures around campus and the world with a university pennant. The pennant pictures became so popular that other students and alumni are buying pennants and traveling with them.
