2015 Rising PR Stars: Kendal Hurley, Senior Account Director, Ballantines PR

Kendal Hurley’s dedication to her clientele and growing portfolio of gaining press continues to impress her clients and colleagues. Hurley leads over 10 accounts for Ballantines PR and her client roster continues to grow.

Hurley leads the Motorola account for her team and one of her recent accomplishments was the launch of the Motorola SCOUT5000 at CES 2015 with a preview at Pepcom 2015. The SCOUT5000 is a dog collar that offers live video streaming, GPS tracking with escape alerts, and two way audio communication to a users' smartphone.

Hurley was tasked with creating buzz around this new product launch, so she connected with a show dog in Hollywood and a trainer that attended Pepcom and CES wearing the new collar. Coined and pitched as “the new smartphone for canines,” the collar was the hit of the show and garnered over 25 million media impressions within a week. Hurley secured a press conference for CEO Dino Lalvani and over 4 televised interviews with major outlets. Coverage for the launch included the Los Angeles Times, Popular Science, Yahoo! the TODAY Show, Good Morning America and more.
