An incredible journey began in 1984 when Margery Kraus founded APCO Worldwide, but back then the company consisted of only a small Washington D.C. office. Over the years the company grew into a multinational powerhouse with offices in major cities across the Americas, the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia. Guided by Kraus, the company built a reputation of excellence in public affairs, communications and business consulting for major multinational organizations. By fusing the best local experience with a global perspective, Kraus led her organization to numerous PR News Awards across multiple programs like Agency Elite, CSR and Digital PR. In 2005, PR News also recognized Kraus for her incredible career with a Lifetime Achievement award. Kraus continues her work with APCO Worldwide as Founder and Executive Chairman.
