2013 PR People to Watch: Alyssa Gardina

Alyssa Gardina started her public relations career at the Women’s Museum in Dallas, igniting her passion for storytelling through digital media. After dedicating two years in nonprofit, she seized an opportunity to explore agency life, and found her true calling. In 2011 she joined Weber Shandwick and continued to demonstrate her star power, embodying the intangible characteristics of a great leader.

Gardina navigates emerging technologies and social platforms to create integrated, measurable campaigns. As an account lead for RadioShack, she has launched Facebook apps, hosted Google Hangouts, and coordinated countless videos and successful event activations, including the award-winning Recharge campaign at SXSW 2013. Gardina is building RadioShack’s influencer program from the ground up. She recently helped ideate and rollout RadioShack’s Inner Circle, an influencer management platform, designed to empower influencers to share branded content. In addition to her stellar work on RadioShack, she worked with Home Depot to promote its Spring Black Friday campaign during the industry’s busiest shopping season.
