Since joining Profiles in 2003 as a junior account executive, Amy Burke Friedman has risen to vice president of the company. In April 2009 she led the account team that introduced Kimpton Hotels’ first restaurant in Maryland, resulting in a featured recipe in Bon Appétit’s Sept. 2010 issue and coverage in hundreds of other outlets.

Friedman achieved media coverage in 2010 for the National Aquarium’s research on the effect of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on marine ecosystems, including a news segment on National Public Radio. — Melissa Tinklepaugh
