WebMD

In a company press release issued September 12, 2000, Healtheon/WebMD announced the completion of three pending mergers and acquisitions.

Healtheon/WebMD, which has subsequently changed its name to the WebMD Corporation, has officially merged with Medical Manager Corporation and CareInsite, Inc, and has acquired
OnHealth Network Company.

"As a result of our completed mergers and ongoing partnerships, we can provide health plans, hospitals, pharmaceutical and medical device companies with an unparalleled ability
to not only reach customers, but to also build enduring relationships with their members and physicians," says Jeffrey T. Arnold, co-CEO of WebMD.

It is not clear at this point how these business partnerships will affect the news content produced by WebMD. Lorrain Bennett, deputy managing editor, stresses that WebMD has
not yet finalized their editorial structure or process. Bennett states that within a few months, as WebMD and its partnerships become more integrated, editorial staff, structure,
and processes will become more defined.

In the interim, direct press materials to Bennett at [email protected].
