Infusing clients, management and colleagues with excitement about successful PR campaigns dominated 20 years of Angela Jeffrey’s career with JCPenney, national agencies and her full-service PR firm, Jeffrey Communications. PRSA Silver Anvils and IABC Gold Quills, plus a bevy of regional awards, were some of her career highlights.

Angela entered the PR measurement world when she couldn’t find a low-cost solution for media analysis. To solve the problem, she created a software company to build PRtrak, the first PR analysis tool for print, broadcast and Internet coverage. The venture succeeded and was subsequently acquired, first by SDI Inc., then by the former VMS and most recently by BurrellesLuce.

Through the years, Angela became a recognized evangelist, thought leader, writer and speaker for PR measurement and evaluation nationwide. Over the past few years, Angela ran MeasurementMatch.com, a firm that assisted clients with measurement planning and supplier selection.

Today, Angela serves as managing director U.S. for Salience Insight, a global media research and analysis firm with headquarters in London and Dubai. Salience Insight is the media measurement division of News Group International—a global provider of business intelligence. Salience is a new global brand which incorporates the former U.K.-based Report International and U.S.-based KD Paine & Partners, acquired in the summer of 2012, in addition to the original Salience based in the Middle East. Angela’s key interest is enabling clients to directly link the results of their public relations and social media efforts to business outcomes, and has published several white papers on this subject through the Institute for Public Relations (www.instituteforpr.org).
