Senior Vice President, Global Communications
Donna Karan International

Aliza Licht graduated from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in Neurobiology and Physiology and dreams of becoming a plastic surgeon. After she realized that she couldn't spend a life in scrubs, she decided to pursue her childhood love for fashion and started in the magazine industry. After two years in editorial, Aliza decided to make the jump to public relations where she joined Donna Karan International in 1998. She is currently the senior vice president of global communications.

In 2009, Aliza took on social media on top of her traditional PR responsibilities and created “DKNY PR GIRL,” the company's award-winning social media personality for which she is the singular voice. DKNY PR GIRL’s true identity was kept anonymous for two years until October 2011, when she outed herself in a behind-the-scenes of Fashion Week video on YouTube. Press coverage on her reveal video received over 350 million impressions globally.

With over 455,000 organic Twitter followers to date, DKNY PR GIRL (@dkny) is known for her authentic, “never scheduled” posts and her TV and red carpet award show commentary. DKNY PR GIRL is Style Coalition’s only Fashion 2.0 Award winner for Best Twitter since the award’s inception in 2010. Since 2009, DKNY PR GIRL has launched on Tumblr, Instagram, WhoSay, Pinterest, Weibo, Pose, Vine and Glossi.

Aliza was profiled in 2013 by E! and featured in Fashionista’s 50 Most Influential People in New York Fashion Right Now (2013), Luxury Daily’s “Women to Watch” (2013), Brand Innovators’ “Top 50 Women Brand Marketers” (2013), TIME Style & Design's "Six Women Who Rule the Fashion World" (2012) and The New York Times’ “Fashion’s New Order”(2012) as one of the most followed personalities in the social media space.
