AIDS Lifestyle Magazine To Target Minorities

Magic Johnson recently lent his celebrity and support to a new AIDS magazine, published by the AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), that will launch this summer. The
promotional campaign occurred last month at Magic Johnson's NBA All Star Party in San Francisco.

The magazine, Thrive, will target minorities living with and affected by HIV/AIDS. Its editorial content will focus on developing a healthy lifestyle, updates on new drug
treatments, alternative therapy and behavior modification.

Since AIDS disproportionately affects minorities, the magazine also aims to sensitize healthcare professionals to the cultural needs of minorities who have the disease.

All pitches should be directed to Ged Kenslea, AHF community relations director, 323/860-5225.
