The Public Affairs Foundation, Washington, D.C., published an updated edition of "Public Interest Profiles." Last published in 1992, the book describes more than 200 public interest and public policy organizations, including such well-known names as the Christian Coalition, National Rifle Association and the Environmental Defense Fund. The directory lists budgets, funding sources and other operating and staff data. Orders for the $190 publication are being handled by Congressional Quarterly at 202/822-1475.
