A dismal job market doesn't mean hiring managers can afford to alienate candidates with their search style, says a new survey of nearly 300 PRSA members from Tarzian Search
Consultants. The survey makes a case for corporate communicators to become more involved in the supervision of hiring practices company-wide.
Among the findings:
- 80 percent of respondents say they have experienced bad interviews
- 84 percent indicate this negatively affected their perception of the hiringcompany
- More than 80 percent of the respondents shared their negative experiences with friends and family
- Bad interviews made lasting impressions - on average, interviewees recalled the experience more than six years later
