AAHP HOSTING MANAGEMENT CONFERENCE

As health plans design strategic plans for the future, information systems departments are finding themselves increasingly challenged to accommodate these new directions.

The American Association of Health Plans has seen this change and has created a conference for Nov. 18-20 at the San Diego Marriott hotel.

"This conference will address how health plans and other delivery care networks are satisfying their organizations' complex information requirements today and how they will support them tomorrow," said Don White, AAHP spokesman.

The conference features four concurrent tracks of programming, including "Using Information Systems to Support Clinical Decisions" and "Emerging Technologies and Applications for Tomorrow's Systems."

In addition, the five general sessions will include industry leaders and technologists who will discuss "cutting edge" solutions, practices and issues for today's health care IS manager. Cost to attend is $775 for members; $975 for non-members. (AAHP, 202/778-3269)
