The trouble with fax machines - aside from the fact that most faxes get lost in the newsroom like socks in the dryer - is that they sometimes run out of toner. This is what
happened with a fax release PR NEWS received last week from enews.com. We couldn't read it, so we called the contact at the top of the release and asked her to re-send. Her
response (more or less): "Um, I'm busy right now. Could you call so-and-so and ask her to send it to you?" Please. This is the kind of thing that peeves our editorial egos
like nobody's business. We have a feeling more of enews.com's press releases will be getting lost in newsroom limbo in the future.
