A NYT Radio Station PR Nightmare

The classical New York Times-owned radio station WQXR has rejected an ad by a prominent New York Jewish group. The American Jewish Committee (AJC) claims that the station pulled a 60-second commentary about bombings carried out against Isreal by the militant Palestinian Islamic movement Hamas.

Whether or not the station feels justified in its actions (station GM stated that parts of the spot were "outside our boundaries of acceptability") is there any way to put a positive spin on a potentially anti-semitic story in the Jewish-centric New York City? Even if the ad was unacceptable, the subject carries such a negative connotation that recovery is tough.
