Howard Rubenstein has come a long way from knocking out press releases on his mother's kitchen table in Brooklyn--trust us on that one--to being a power broker at the epicenter
of New York media. Usually behind the scenes (like any sagely PR pro), the spotlight was on Rubenstein last week as he celebrated his 50 years in PR, along with about 3,000
guests, at New York hot spot Tavern on the Green.
Longtime clients like Rubert Murdoch and Leona Helmsley were there, as were New York political luminaries Mayor Bloomberg, Governor Pataki and Senators Chuck Schuman and
Hillary Clinton (along with her daughter, Chelsea). Sarah
Ferguson thanked Rubenstein for rehabilitating her image 10 years ago. No doubt there are more than a few public figures (and some not so) who should be thankful to Rubenstein
for the PR work he's been doing over the years for clients across-the-board. But we only have eight pages of real estate to spare. Kudos to the entire firm.
