Five years ago, Samantha Un was selected for Lockheed Martin’s Communications Leadership Development program—a highly selective program that recruits top graduates from top PR schools. She now leads the strategic communications planning for a $1.6 billion portfolio, including a dozen-plus programs focused on missile defense and radar, most notably Lockheed Martin’s 40-year franchise with Aegis in support of the U.S. Navy.
This past year, she spearheaded the strategic communications plan in support of a major contract award for Lockheed Martin called the Aegis Combat System Engineering Agent (CSEA)—a 5-year, $100 million contract to provide combat system engineering services for all Aegis-equipped ships.
Un’s raw talent, proactive nature and leadership potential have positioned her as a true partner to Lockheed Martin’s business. She works closely with all levels of leaders and is accountable to three vice presidents.
