Last week a Maryland-based communications firm picked the ideal day to change its name to "Love & Company," Valentine's Day. Formerly Anne Burnside Love & Associates,
"Love & Company announced its new moniker by sending out bags of heart-shaped candies emblazoned with the company name. (This reporter sadly admits it was the only
candy he got on Valentine's Day.) Previous Valentine's Days the company has sent out love-themed cookbooks and humorous suggestions of what not to give your Valentine
(six weeks of complimentary electrolysis is a big no-no.) Director of Marketing Linda Keene says the holiday tie-ins have gotten the firm some love from the press: the
business section of the local daily mentioned the name-change. And it's won the affection of clients also. "They 'love' our new name," she says.
