Restaurant chains don't usually tap the American Psychology Association and Parenting magazine for research to drum up business but Denny's is using their findings to
encourage family dining. Apparently, children who "dine" with their parents regularly have better social skills and higher self-esteem. Until May 13th, participating Denny's
restaurants will offer two free kids' entrées with the purchase of one adult entrée. Vollmer AE Jamie Fails, who is handling the promotion, said her team is building additional
buzz by distributing 550,000 flyers to 1,200 schools around the country. This family-oriented PR campaign seems to be a real meal ticket.
